Gather documents and book the appointment
Booking at your consulate and preparing the file.
Why it matters
Residency visas are issued in person at a consulate in your country of residence.
Who helps
You book this yourself, because most consulates don't accept agents or attorneys booking for you. An immigration facilitator can help you prepare the file.
What to do: Book your consulate appointment and prepare your file.

Common questions
How do I apply for residency?
Usually at a Mexican consulate at home, proving income or savings, then you exchange the visa for a card at INM within 30 days of entering.
