Terms of Use
Effective October 22, 2026. Last updated October 27, 2026.
These Terms are an agreement between you and CIS Consulting ("we", "us"), the developer of Paso a Paso Baja (the app, the business portal and this website, together the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Section 14 has an individual arbitration agreement and class action waiver, with a way to opt out. If the English and Spanish versions differ, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
1. Information only, not legal advice. The Service provides general information only. It is not legal, tax, immigration, real-estate, notarial, engineering, financial or other professional advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client or any other professional relationship. We are not a law firm, notaría, real-estate broker or government office.
2. Estimates and government information. Costs, fee ranges, timelines, deadlines, steps and requirements are estimates based on sources we believe are reliable at the time of writing. They may be incomplete, wrong, out of date, or different for your municipality, bank, notario or situation. Laws, fees and office practices in Mexico change often. Government information is summarized and may not be current or official.
3. You must verify. Before you sign, pay, file or rely on anything, confirm it with a licensed notario público, a Mexican attorney, an accountant, or the relevant government office. You are solely responsible for your decisions.
4. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for your device, Apple Account and business portal access.
5. Acceptable use
Don't: break the law; submit false, misleading, defamatory, harassing or infringing content; post fake reviews, reviews of your own business or competitors, or reviews in exchange for anything of value; impersonate anyone or claim a listing you aren't authorized to manage; scrape, copy or resell the Service or its data; reverse-engineer, interfere with or overload the Service; or get around security, purchase or access controls. We may remove content and limit or suspend access for violations.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit. For content you choose to submit publicly (community data, reports, reviews, listing information), you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, use, aggregate, display and adapt it to operate and improve the Service. You confirm you have the right to submit it. Community data is shown only in anonymous aggregates.
7. Find a pro and third parties
Listings, ratings, links and contact details for professionals, businesses and offices are provided for convenience. Unless marked verified, listings are unverified. Even "verified" means only that we confirmed limited facts at a point in time (such as a license or contact detail), not quality, licensing status today, insurance or suitability. We don't endorse, recommend or guarantee any third party and aren't responsible for their services, prices, conduct or websites. Any agreement you make is between you and them. Do your own due diligence.
8. Business listings and Pro
- Claims. A business may claim its listing through the business portal using Sign in with Apple. We may require proof of authority and may refuse or revoke a claim.
- No paid placement. Search and list order are the same for everyone and cannot be bought. Pro does not affect ranking, reviews or verification.
- Pro. Pro adds a "Pro" badge, a fuller profile and branded client checklists. Pro pricing depends on the band for the listing's directory category (Premier, Professional or Trades), set by us from the category, not chosen by the business. Notaries and banks are listed free with a free verified profile and can't buy Pro. Launch offers (such as a free trial or first-year discount) are described at sign-up.
- Accuracy. Businesses must keep their information accurate and lawful and are responsible for it.
- Takedown and appeals. Anyone can report a listing or review in the app or by email. We review reports and may edit, hide or remove content. A business or user affected by a moderation decision can appeal by emailing us within 30 days; we'll review it and reply, and our decision after appeal is final. We may remove content that we believe violates these Terms or the law, and we may keep reviews that are truthful even if a business disagrees.
9. Free for buyers, Pro, tips and refunds
- Buyers pay nothing. Everything for people buying, building or owning property is free, with no account and no card. That includes the Roadmap and step-by-step guide, document checklists, Documents (scan, store, translate and "Ask my documents"), deadlines and reminders, the full cost estimator, the permit plan and building tools, the assistant, meeting help and Find a pro. We won't move a feature that is free into a paid plan.
- Pro is the only subscription. Pro, for businesses listed in Find a pro, is the only subscription we sell. In the app, it is sold through Apple's App Store and is subject to Apple's terms. Prices are shown before purchase in your local currency and may change; changes apply to the next renewal as Apple allows.
- Auto-renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends in your Apple Account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Pro may include a free trial; the price you'll pay after it is shown before you start, and you'll be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Optional tips. You can leave a voluntary tip in Settings to support the app. A tip is a one-time, consumable in-app purchase through Apple, not a subscription. It unlocks nothing and changes nothing in the app or in Find a pro; everything stays free either way. Tips are non-refundable, except as Apple's refund policies provide.
- Earlier subscriptions. If you bought a subscription in an earlier version of the app, you keep its access through the end of the period you paid for. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings; the buyer features it included are now free.
- Offer codes (such as a Pro launch discount) are one-time, have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and follow Apple's offer code rules. The price after any discount ends is shown before you accept it.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled only by Apple under its policies.
- Web Pro. Pro bought on the business portal is billed through Stripe, subject to Stripe's terms. It renews automatically monthly or yearly until you cancel in the portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid aren't refunded.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service anytime. We may suspend or end your access, or change or discontinue features, if you violate these Terms, to protect others, or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 1–3, 6, 7 and 11–16) survive termination.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ITS CONTENT IS ACCURATE, CURRENT, COMPLETE, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST. Keep your own copies of important documents.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WON'T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, PROPERTY, DATA, FINES, PENALTIES, MISSED DEADLINES, FAILED OR DELAYED TRANSACTIONS, OR ANY ACT OR OMISSION OF A THIRD PARTY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
13. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your listing, your violation of these Terms or the law, or your dealings with third parties.
14. Governing law and disputes
- Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you protections that can't be waived.
- Informal resolution first. Email us a description of the dispute; we'll try to resolve it within 60 days.
- Individual arbitration. If not resolved, any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, under the Federal Arbitration Act, held remotely or in King County, Washington.
- Class action waiver. Disputes may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding, and no jury trial.
- Small claims and injunctions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, or seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse, instead of arbitration.
- Opt-out. You may opt out of arbitration and the class waiver by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name and a statement that you opt out.
- If arbitration doesn't apply or you opt out, disputes go to the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise. If the class waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court, not arbitration.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and will post the new date here and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them. Changes won't apply retroactively to disputes already notified.
16. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a right isn't a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in a merger or sale. Apple is not a party to these Terms and isn't responsible for the app, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries entitled to enforce these Terms as to the app, as required by Apple's Standard EULA, which also applies.

11. Exclusión de garantías
EN LA MEDIDA MÁXIMA PERMITIDA POR LA LEY, EL SERVICIO SE OFRECE "TAL CUAL" Y "SEGÚN DISPONIBILIDAD", SIN GARANTÍAS DE NINGÚN TIPO, EXPRESAS O IMPLÍCITAS, INCLUIDAS LAS DE COMERCIABILIDAD, IDONEIDAD PARA UN FIN PARTICULAR, EXACTITUD, TITULARIDAD Y NO INFRACCIÓN. NO GARANTIZAMOS QUE EL SERVICIO O SU CONTENIDO SEAN EXACTOS, VIGENTES, COMPLETOS, ININTERRUMPIDOS O LIBRES DE ERRORES, NI QUE NUNCA SE PIERDAN DATOS. Guarde sus propias copias de documentos importantes.
- Renuncia a acciones colectivas.
- Demandas menores y medidas cautelares.
