Permanent electricity contract (CFE)
Switching from the construction supply to a permanent residential contract, with its own meter.
Why it matters
The construction supply is temporary, and you need a permanent contract to live in the house.
Who helps
CFE, at a service center (or call 071). A certified inspector (UVIE) checks the wiring first.
What to do: Apply to CFE for the permanent contract with your RFC and UVIE certificate.
Documents
- Your RFC (step 6.8).
- The UVIE inspection certificate for the wiring.
- The completion notice (step 4.28), an ID, and the bank's power of attorney if the bank holds title.
Costs Estimate
- The contract itself is free (guarantee deposit only).
- UVIE inspection: ask a certified inspector for a quote (confirm with CFE).
Estimates only. Get written quotes.
Common mistakes
- Applying without an RFC or the UVIE certificate.
