No-lien certificate (certificado de libertad de gravámenes)
An official RPPC certificate stating whether the property has mortgages, liens, embargoes or lawsuit annotations.
Why it matters

Who helps
The notario requests it from the RPPC, usually twice: once for due diligence, and again just before signing.
What to do: Ask the notario for the no-lien certificate from the public registry (RPPC).
