Street alignment and official address (alineamiento y número oficial)
Alineamiento: the official line between the lot and the street, plus any setbacks or road widening. Número oficial: the official street number.
Why it matters
Both are needed for the building license. CFE also asks rural applicants for them.
Who helps
Your municipality's urban development office (Desarrollo Urbano). A gestor can request it for you.
What to do: Get the street alignment and official address from the city.
Documents
- The power, the land-use approval, and a predial printout.
Costs Estimate
- La Paz alineamiento: MXN 459.51 base (up to 20 m of frontage), plus per-meter and out-of-town charges under the Ley de Hacienda.
- La Paz número oficial: MXN 154.50, about 5 business days.
- Los Cabos: alineamiento 2 UMA (≈MXN 235) up to 20 m of frontage plus 0.10 UMA per extra meter; official number 2.5 UMA (≈MXN 293); alineamiento valid 6 months.

Estimates only. Get written quotes.
Common mistakes
- Letting the alineamiento expire before the license is filed.
- Requesting it too early. Get it close to filing the license; the CFE asks for it too, so time it for both.
Say it in Spanish
- Necesito el alineamiento y número oficial de este predio.
