City land-use approval (uso de suelo)
Formal municipal authorization that a single-family home is allowed on the lot, under the zoning plan's rules. It comes after the state dictamen (step 4.10).
Why it matters
It comes before the building license.
Who helps
The municipality: in La Paz it issues the Autorización de Uso de Suelo (procedure 969); in Los Cabos, the Dirección Municipal de Planeación Urbana. Your gestor or architect can file it for you.
What to do: Apply for the city land-use approval after the state opinion.
